Children and Families
Welcome!
Welcome to St Barnabas!
Our desire is for children to feel valued and celebrated in the life of the church, and for their relationship with God to flourish. Children are equal disciples of Jesus, and our heart is for them to experience God for themselves through teaching, praise, creativity, play and fellowship. We value your family and would love to meet you!
All team members are DBS checked and have completed Safeguarding Training.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because God’s kingdom belongs to people who are like these children”. Matthew 19:14
Sundays Mornings
Our weekly Children’s Church meets each Sunday during the Sunday service. Children are welcome to join our Children’s Church team for stories, crafts & activities, worship, prayer & praise, games and more! Snacks and drinks are provided. Once a month, there is opportunity for secondary school aged children to join a youth session, running at the same time as Children’s Church.
During the Sunday Service, families with smaller children are welcome to make use of our Baby & Toddler area in the church foyer. Don’t worry about missing the service, it will be streamed through the foyer speakers!

Seedlings
Seedlings Baby & Toddler Group meets every Thursday (during term-time) from 9:30-11am. All babies, toddlers and pre-school aged children are welcome for free play, crafts & activities, music, singing and snack!
There is a suggested donation of £1 per family for a Seedlings session, but we do not wish this to be a barrier to families joining us.
All members of our team are DBS checked and have completed Safeguarding Training.
For more information about Seedlings, you can find us on Facebook by searching: St Barnabas Seedlings Baby & Toddler Group.
Open the Book
Open the Book is an exciting storytelling project where Bible stories are shared with children in a fun, interactive and engaging way! Our team at St Barnabas offer storytelling in Bearwood Primary School and it’s fantastic to be developing our relationship with the school through this.

In addition to our weekly groups for children and families, we’d love to welcome you to other events.
On the 31st October each year, we run a fun packed Light Party, as an alternative to Halloween. All families are welcome to Light Party and enjoy food, games, activities, fun and music; to celebrate Jesus being the Light of the World! We also welcome families to Christmas, Easter and summer events!
