Life Groups
Our mid-week small groups play a key part in our discipleship as well as provide a compassionate pastoral care structure.
We believe we are missional people called to be Kingdom Disciples in the world. Therefore we all have a missional frontline, whether that be in the work place, outside the school gate, at home, in our social activities or in our neighbourhood. Our life groups are an invaluable support to each of us as we live out our mission in our own unique frontline.
The purpose of the groups is threefold:
UP: to encounter Jesus in worship, prayer, scripture and openness to the Holy Spirit. This may be linked to Sunday’s preaching.
IN: to support each other to grow as disciples, to build relationships with each other, to care for each other. We encourage each other, pray together and share together.
OUT: the group encourages our call to make disciples of all nations by supporting us in our respective ‘frontlines’, as well as being outward facing as a group.
The outworking of this looks different in each group. Groups may meet during the day or in the evening, weekly or fortnightly, and either in different homes or at St Barnabas.
We encourage everyone at St Barnabas to be either in or connected with a Life Group. If you’d like to join a group please contact the office by emailing stbarnabas@canfordparish.org
